Most software is being built fast. AI compressed work that used to take a quarter into a week, and you can see it in the products: a lot of features shipped, a lot of demos polished, very little thought for month six when the prompts have drifted, the costs have spiked, the data layer has accumulated debt, and users have stopped trusting it.
We started Centractive to build the other kind of software. Products built with the care good engineering has always required. Privacy enforced by design, not by a policy page. AI used where it pulls weight, not where it makes the demo louder.
This shows up in two places: the products we ship, and the engagements we take on with other engineering teams trying to do the same thing.

This isn't a vertical strategy in the usual sense. We're not a “career SaaS company” or an “enterprise productivity company.” We're a software company that picks problems where care still matters, and builds for them well.

I started Centractive to build the other kind of software products and engagements where the technical calls are made by people who've seen what happens when those calls go wrong. Crush Interviews is the first product. More are in the making.
